It wasn’t a surprise that Oprah was one among the five recipients of Kennedy Center Honors for 2010. For more than 25 years in the industry as a doyenne of daytime television, has established one of the most innovative careers in the entertainment world, and have created appositive impact on the American Culture. With this, she deserved or rather surpassed the qualifications for the Kennedy Center Honors.
Being a Kennedy Center Honors awardee, this honor will be added into her numerous recognition for years as an actress, producer, philanthropist, and the richest African American of the 20th century, and was the world’s only black billionaire.
But being the most influential woman in the world, during the event the media mogul was dressed in a plus size dress with plunging black top and A-line skirt only. Her attire had been the talk of the blogosphere, because the event calls for a black and tie dress code, and everybody was expecting that Oprah will be dressed in a designer plus size suit.
Although, Oprah’s style is still there, (the plunging neckline) spectators find that dress inappropriate for that significant event.
Well, that was indeed pretty simple compared to her appearances for the different awards and events that happened this season. See below:
Either of these Oprah look is ideal for the Kennedy Center Honors. She looked amazingly gorgeous either in dark or bright color dresses. Although she missed donning a floor sweeping gown to get her Kennedy Center Honors award, she proved that plunging neckline is really is her style.
She's looking good.
ReplyDeleteOphra is so great when it comes to fashion and television. Keep it up.
